About me

I am a Lactation Consultant, Midwife and Tongue-tie Practitioner providing private infant feeding support in Bristol and surrounding areas. I have been supporting families during pregnancy, childbirth and lactation since I started my training as a Midwife in 2010. I worked in a busy NHS trust in London for almost 10 years, and I am now based in Bristol, where I continue to work as a Community Midwife for the NHS. I recently became a mother and experienced first-hand the joys and the challenges of breastfeeding. Embarking on your feeding journey can be difficult at times.​ My goal is to support you and assist you on this journey. I offer a holistic assessment in the comfort of your home and make a feeding plan tailored to your needs. Each consultation includes a written report detailing your concerns, my assessment and our plan. I am fully insured and a member of the LCGB.

WHAT IS AN IBCLC

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants are experts in infant feeding and lactation and undergo extensive training to international standards including 1000 hours of clinical practice. We are examined by the IBCLC Examiners and are required to recertify every 5 years by exam or by accredited continuous education. As an IBCLC I can help you with: hand expression and colostrum harvesting in pregnancy and after, safe milk storage, paced bottle feeding, breastfeeding positions, forceful milk letdown, pumping, planning return to work and many others. Some of my specialities are: low and high milk supply, difficult or painful latch, slow/poor weight gain, tongue-tie, blocked duct/engorgement/mastitis.

My Services

Antenatal preparation
A 1:1 discussion in the comfort of your home on how to best prepare to feed your baby. This usually lasts 90 minutes (price shown is per hour)

Postnatal support
A home visit to support you in your feeding journey. The first visit usually lasts 1.5-2 hours (price shown is per hour). This includes 2 weeks follow-up via WhatsApp

Video Consultation
Antenatal Preparation and Postnatal Support are also available over video call when a home visit is not convenient for you (price shown is per hour)

tongue-tie and referrals
If you suspect your baby has a tongue-tie that is contributing to feeding difficulties, an oral and feeding assessment should be carried out by an experienced infant feeding specialist. More than 50% of babies who have a tongue-tie do not need a frenulotomy if they receive skilled feeding support. As a tongue-tie practitioner, I am fully trained to diagnose tongue restrictions and can offer expert feeding support. If a frenulotomy is required, I can refer you to the NHS or private clinics.

AREAS I COVER

Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas. I offer face-to-face consultations within 10 km of BS16. For areas outside of this, a small additional fee will be added to cover travel time.
